“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
Emilie, people first.
Energetic and outgoing, Emilie has a natural warmth that puts people at ease quickly, whether she's meeting someone for the first time or walking a longtime client through a hard decision. Her guiding philosophy says it best: "The client is the CEO, and I am the CFO." It's less a strategy than a reflection of how she's wired; she'd rather hand someone thoughtful options and the freedom to choose than tell them what to do. That same dedication carried her from a career in trust administration in Michigan to California in July 2026, when she joined TWA. She holds her CFP® and CTFA® designations and a degree in finance from Michigan State University, credentials that back up what her personality already makes clear: she's in this for the people, not just the plan.
Emilie in the wild.
Take Emilie out of the office and you’ll likely find her on a trail somewhere or working her way through a Saturday farmers market in search of whatever is about to become dinner. Cooking is where her curiosity is displayed, and she’s rarely without a new recipe in progress. She shares this outdoor-and-kitchen-table life with her partner, Jack, and the two are still discovering their favorite spots since settling into California.
What Transitions means to Emilie, and vice versa.
Long before she had official clients, Emilie was mentoring the next generation of them. As an active supporter of the Michigan State University Women in Finance Association, she met one-on-one with young women pursuing careers in finance, sharing her own story to help them find the right path. That instinct, to guide, reassure, and make complexity feel manageable, is exactly what she brings to TWA. Her goal with every client is simple: to be the first call they make when they need help solving a problem. Emilie is thrilled to be a part of the team and is looking forward to helping TWA’s clients achieve their goals.
